To some people turkeys are nothing more than a Butterball for Thanksgiving dinner. In areas of high concentration turkeys can be a nuisance. But for some of us they are the most exhilarating form of hunting on the planet. If you are one of us or are becoming one of us, welcome.
These custom calls look great and sound even better. They should last your lifetime with care. You can make hen turkey sounds from yelps, to purrs and clucks, to cutting and cackling from very soft to loud. Box calls are made from a variety of hardwoods: Cherry, Mahogany, Maple, Poplar, Purple Heart, and Walnut. All calls are made from a solid block of wood. (no gluing) Fastened with an elastic strap to keep the call from making a sound at the wrong time.

The Purpleheart/Poplar combination will produce a little more rasp. While the Walnut and maple calls produce a nice crisp yelp.
